清正公夏祭り Seishoko summer festival
島根県浜田市は石見神楽の盛んな地である。毎年７月下旬の土曜日の夜に行われる「清正公夏祭り」は境内に舞殿を建て石見神楽を奉納する。
中でも加藤清正公の虎退治の演目は、当山第二十二世の本覚院日要上人が、龍泉寺の清正公大祭の為に浜田の長沢社中に依頼し創作したものであり、昔から浜田の名物の一つとして多くの参拝者で賑わう。
Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture is a thriving area of Iwami Kagura. The “Seishoko(Kato Kiyomasa) summer festival”, which takes place every Saturday night in late July, builds a dance hall in the grounds and dedicated Iwami Kagura.
Above all, the program of Kato kiyomasa's tiger elimination was created by Nitiyo-Shonin, who was commissioned by Nagasawa-Shachu to create the Grand Festival for Ryusenji Temple. It is crowded with many worshipers as one of Hamada's specialties since ancient times.
